Week-end à Cerbère pour découvrir les techniques d’observation en laboratoire.
Samedi 15 novembre au matin, rendez-vous à Notre-Dame d’Aures au lac de Pareloup pour les jeunes débutants qui ont intégrés le club cette année (le désormais célèbre groupe des “marsouins”…)
Première plongée dans le lac, eau à 12 degrés, écrevisses en pagaille, visibilité plus que correcte, organisation millimétrée et collation maison amenée par les parents… tout était réuni pour une plongée réussie !
L’expérience a été très appréciée de nos jeunes plongeurs, vivement la prochaine !

Denis Porrachia a grandi sur les bords de la Méditerranée à Oran, dans cette ville où «les images sous-marines du célèbre commandant» ont abondamment garni sa mémoire juvénile et alimenté ses rêves d’enfant. Employé communal à Salles-la-Source, Denis habite désormais à Cougousse depuis de très nombreuses années, tout près du Créneau qui continue à irriguer une passion pour l’eau toujours aussi vivace. Il faut préciser que depuis une trentaine d’années, le rêve du gamin d’Oran est devenu réalité le jour où s’est présentée l’opportunité d’effectuer une première plongée en scaphandre accompagnée d’un moniteur. «J’ai vécu cette expérience sous la surface de l’eau comme une révélation qui a intensifié mon engouement pour le milieu subaquatique». Depuis ce moment magique, Denis n’a pas cessé de plonger, à la découverte de nouvelles sensations et de nouveaux mondes : océans et mers, lacs et rivières de sa campagne, étang de ses vacances en famille. Une vingtaine de plongées par an avec un coup de cœur particulier pour l’étang de Thau : «J’y ai vu de si belles choses que je me suis lancé dans la photo pour immortaliser ces fabuleuses images». Depuis, des centaines de clichés ramenés de ses fréquentes pérégrinations sous-marines témoignent merveilleusement de son histoire d’amour avec la flore et la faune sous-marines. Rien d’étonnant à ce qu’ait germé l’idée de partager «toutes ces couleurs, cette vie, ces émotions» en éditant un ouvrage. La rencontre avec Stéphane Sichi, responsable des éditions Au Fil du temps à Souyri, a été déterminante pour concrétiser cette volonté. Un projet qui, après réflexion, a évolué pour ne pas se limiter à la seule présentation de photos subaquatiques mais s’élargir sous forme de dytique textes-images, «l’étang du dessous et celui du dessus». Bernard Robitaille, écrivain-journaliste québécois installé à Sète depuis plus de 25 ans, a ciselé le portait de sept figures fortement impliquées dans la vie de l’étang, Denis Porrachia a, quant à lui, complété son album photos avec des vues du dessus de l’étang… le résultat est d’une très belle qualité. Le livre est en vente dans toutes les librairies (32 €).

Le challenge Oxyjeune est le plus grand rassemblement de jeunes plongeurs du comité FFESSM Pyrénées-Méditérranée (près de 300 jeunes plongeurs de 8 à 18 ans).
Parmi les 5 jeunes que compte le CSR, 2 ont participé à cette 8ème édition qui s’est déroulée à la piscine Léo Lagrange à Toulouse. Après les forfaits de Imma (blessure au genou) et Jessica (absente), Denis n’a pu se mettre à l’eau à cause d’un gros rhume mais il a quand même tenu à venir encourager ses 2 camarades Johanna et Sylvain (bravo Denis !).
Le challenge se déroule sur plusieurs épreuves (PMT, monopalme, NEV, course hawaïenne, apnée, hockey,tir sur cible, gréer/dégréer en aveugle) selon les catégories d’âge et certaines enchainées dans un relais à partir de la catégorie minime (par exemple pour les cadets : gréer, 25m apnée en poussant un palet, 25m dos, 50m NEV, 100m PMT, 50m capelé, dégréer en aveugle). Une variété d’épreuves qui demande des aptitudes physique et mentales, de la concentration et de l’endurance.
Cette journée a été l’occasion pour nos 2 représentants de mettre en oeuvre les techniques de palmage acquises depuis le début de l’année et de découvrir des nouveautés notamment lors du relais où il a fallu gréer avec des détendeurs DIN (n’est ce pas Johanna !!! Et oui, au club on n’a que des étriers !).
Félicitations à eux pour leur volonté, leur bon état d’esprit et leur comportement sportif lors de cette journée.
